                                                             this temple is located on a small hill near the town of Aluthgama on the colombo,Matara rode.built in the distant past,this temple has a beautiful finish.history states that this temple was improved by king Keerthi sri Rajasinghe.
it is believed that the relics of arahant seevali may have resided in this temple.at present about 10 generations of monks have been working in this temple.this place receives a large number of alms daily.it is also believed that lord vishnu lives in this temple.also the bo tree here is very old.A large number this temple on almost every poya day.

          we must protect the resources we have.these resources that our ancestors gave us are our national heritage.

                          Watalappam is a delicacy.I have loved since I was a child because it is a sweet delicacy.most of the time I make watalappam once a month.Watalappam is a must for dessert if a guest comes to the house for lunch.                          When making Watalappam,first put the jagger is finely chapped and kept in a jar.now take coconut milk and dissolve it well using the jaggery kept eartier.then take a bowl and put eggs to it and mix well.and add the jaggery and coconut milk mixture.add sugar to it,add enough salt and cashews on top,place in a clean bowl,cover well and allow to steam. In like that we can make testy Watalappam.wwhen food is served.then there is a desire to eat the food. You can also make delicious Watalappam .
