My favorite place

 


                               My favorite place is my village .my village name is Galgamuwa.it is a very beautiful and quiet,I like to stay in my village the most.

My village is locate on Alawwa,narammala road.there are many places to visit in my village with cool climate.A bouth 500 families live here and most of them are engaged in agriculture,My village is very rich with beautiful  paddy fields.the small stream that flows from the beauty of the place also,the largest lake in this area is located in Galgamuw village.

 The ancient Pattini dewalaya brings pride to the village many people visit the Gam madu wich are held on a year,this is dane after harvesting the paddy and it is a major ritual in the villaage


Many people in our village are very busy during  the harvest seaaon harvesting can be seen as an opparitunity to increase cooperation and friendship among everyone in the vilage.

Everyone is looking foward to the new year as the new year appraaches,everyone is looking forward to making sweet in almost every home,exchanging them with neighbors,children playing,and adults performing rituals all of this leada to the development of relationships between neighbors.
A village like mine must have been very blessed that's why i love my village so much.

                          Watalappam is a delicacy.I have loved since I was a child because it is a sweet delicacy.most of the time I make watalappam once a month.Watalappam is a must for dessert if a guest comes to the house for lunch.                          When making Watalappam,first put the jagger is finely chapped and kept in a jar.now take coconut milk and dissolve it well using the jaggery kept eartier.then take a bowl and put eggs to it and mix well.and add the jaggery and coconut milk mixture.add sugar to it,add enough salt and cashews on top,place in a clean bowl,cover well and allow to steam. In like that we can make testy Watalappam.wwhen food is served.then there is a desire to eat the food. You can also make delicious Watalappam .
